Pre-Admission Procedure
Parents may visit the school any time to tour the facility with the director. Applications should be submitted by mail, or dropped off in-person or via the preschool drop-box, located at the front door. Please include the required application fee, which is $50.00 per child. New children are accepted after re-enrollment applications for current students are processed.

Admissions Policy
Children currently attending The Community Preschool of the Palisades must pre-register for the following year in mid-January. Enrollment applications are processed on a rolling basis, with classroom seats offered on a first-come, first-served basis until the maximum number of students has been reached for each class. Children applying for seats in fully enrolled classes are assigned a number on the waiting list and admitted as space becomes available throughout the preschool year.

Order of Consideration
The order of consideration for all applicants is:

  1. Siblings of current students
  2. Siblings of former students
  3. Neighborhood children (neighborhood boundaries are defined by the Palisades Citizens Association Guidelines).
  4. Children outside the Palisades neighborhood

The age of the child will be taken into consideration. A balanced ratio of boys and girls is sought in each class, and this will also play a role in the acceptance decision.

Tuition and Payment Schedule

Our Financial Aid Program: A financial aid program has been established to provide tuition assistance to students. Information is available at the Preschool Office. Please send an email to office@palisadespreschooldc.org to learn more.

For Admitted Students
Upon acceptance, parents must complete the registration form and submit the signed contract along with the non-refundable initial tuition deposit (currently $1,000.00) to guarantee a space for their child. Parents must also submit an Emergency Medical Treatment Form, and a Medical Form completed by the child’s pediatrician.

The policies listed above are subject to the Director's discretion.
